Frank took Ursula out for a walk with the kids -- chatting with pounders young and old for an hour between the shows.

The crowd less than half an hour after the gates opened. They had started lining up at 3 for the 8pm show. When the park opened, fanatic pounders literally sprinted in with their blankets and coolers. As they staked their claims on the lawn, ChakaT and David Prince spun some picnic music.

Ravinia, an outdoor venue on Chicago's posh North shore, mostly hosts "softer" concerts than a full-out Poi Dog Pondering experience. People come to picnic in style on the lawn, often enjoying spreads like this one.
